This month, one of the most iconic fashion films of all-time (if not THE most iconic fashion film), celebrates its 50th anniversary. Breakfast at Tiffany’s is also probably Audrey Hepburn’s most recognizable movie, due to the trademark wardrobe of the 1961 film. Audrey plays Holly Golightly, a kept woman of sorts who pretends to live a high life, although her day-to-day existence is far from glamorous. Here, Hepburn is wearing a simple light grey sweatshirt, dark jeans, black ballet flats and a towel hair-wrap (proving she can literally wear ANYTHING and make it look posh), while she sings “Moon River.” (Fun Fact: The song went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and the scene was almost cut from the film!) Everyday this week theSkinnyStiletto will dedicate each “Look-of-the-Day” to Miss Golightly’s gorgeous outfits, and this casual gem was perfect for a lazy Sunday selection.
