Guess there aren’t too many fashion favorites in Irish cinema, because it’s only Day 4, and we’ve got a repeat already. Considering most Irish films have to do with poverty, boxing, immigration, the IRA or hardship, there is a lack of cute clothing featured on their female characters. Here is yet another Hilary Swank as “Holly” outfit from P.S. I Love You. It’s actually the third plaid outfit we’ve featured from this film… do we see a trend? But those varying types of plaid do remind us of Ireland, so I guess the movie’s costume designer was on to something. This red and black buffalo-checkered plaid wrap dress Holly dons for her birthday (she looks a lot cuter without the stupid fuzzy tiara). We believe it was made by wrap dress magnate Diane von Furstenberg. We found the other picture on a seamstress’s blog that recreates movie costumes (omg, a dream come true for the writers of theSkinnyStiletto!) You can buy her pieces at http://www.etsy.com/shop/p1xie.
